Michigan High School Basketball - West Iron County knocked off by Wright
February 2, 2023: Ironwood, MI 49938 The Wright Red Devils basketball team scored 61 points and held the visiting West Iron County Wykons to 50 in the Red Devils non-league triumph on Thursday.
The Red Devils now sport a 10-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Wakefield for a Freelance contest on Friday, February 3. Wright will meet a Cardinals team coming off a 78-48 non-league win over Mercer (Mercer, WI). The Cardinals record now stands at 8-5.
The Wykons (0-15) will now prepare for their contest against L'Anse (L'Anse, MI). The Purple Hornets enter the Western Peninsula contest with a 3-10 record. In their last contest, L'Anse was outscored by Baraga (Baraga, MI), 55-50, in a non-league contest.
