Michigan High School Basketball - Merritt Academy holds off Canton Preparatory
February 2, 2023: Canton, MI 48187 Fans at Thursday's non-league challenge between the Merritt Academy Mustangs (New Haven, MI) and the host Canton Preparatory Chargers (Canton, MI), saw Merritt Academy's basketball squad hold off Canton Preparatory by a tally of 32-28.
With the victory, Merritt Academy improves its record to 10-3 on the campaign. The Mustangs host Clintondale (Clinton Township, MI) to confront the Dragons in a non-league challenge on Monday, February 6. The Dragons come into the challenge with a record of 2-11. Clintondale lost 38-27 in their recent non-league challenge against Hazel Park (Hazel Park, MI)
Next up, the Chargers confront the Central Academy Falcons (Ann Arbor, MI) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, February 3. Canton Preparatory will attempt to improve on its 6-4 season record. The Falcons come into the challenge with a 0-5 record after their 81-28 non-league loss to Clinton (Clinton, MI).
