New Mexico High School Basketball - Del Norte trounced by West Mesa
February 2, 2023: Albuquerque, NM 87121 The West Mesa Mustangs routed the visiting Del Norte Knights basketball team by a final score of 56-35 in Thursday's non-league game.
In their next game, the Mustangs face the La Cueva Bears (Albuquerque, NM) in a 5A District 2 game, on Friday, February 3. West Mesa will attempt to move on its 12-9 season record. The Bears enter the game with a 15-6 record after their 56-35 league win over Eldorado (Albuquerque, NM).
With the defeat, Del Norte moves to 6-14 on the year. The Knights host Bernalillo (Bernalillo, NM) to face the Spartans in a 4A District 6 game on Tuesday, February 7. The Spartans enter the game with a record of 8-14. Bernalillo lost 74-51 in their recent league game against Hope Christian (Albuquerque, NM)
