Michigan High School Basketball - Wolverine holds off Ellsworth
February 2, 2023: Wolverine, MI 49799 Fans at Thursday's league challenge between the Wolverine Wildcats (Wolverine, MI) and the visiting Ellsworth Lancers (Ellsworth, MI), saw Wolverine's basketball squad hold off Ellsworth by a tally of 2-0.
With the victory, Wolverine improves its record to 2-13 on the campaign. The Wildcats host North Michigan Christian Academy (Burt Lake, MI) to confront the Comets in a Northern Lakes challenge on Monday, February 6. The Comets come into the challenge with a record of 10-6. North Michigan Christian Academy won 61-9 in their recent league challenge against Boyne Falls (Boyne Falls, MI)
Next up, the Lancers confront the Boyne Falls Loggers (Boyne Falls, MI) in a Northern Lakes challenge, on Monday, February 6. Ellsworth will attempt to improve on its 3-10 season record. The Loggers come into the challenge with a 2-11 record after their 33-24 league loss to Harbor Light Christian (Harbor Springs, MI).
