South Dakota High School Basketball - Hanson holds off Mt. Vernon/Plankinton
February 2, 2023: Alexandria, SD 57311 Fans at Thursday's league challenge between the Hanson Beavers (Alexandria, SD) and the visiting Mt. Vernon/Plankinton Titans (Mt. Vernon, SD), saw Hanson's basketball squad hold off Mt. Vernon/Plankinton by a tally of 53-47.
With the victory, Hanson improves its record to 12-4 on the campaign. The Beavers travel to Freeman (Freeman, SD) to confront the Flyers in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, February 7. The Flyers come into the challenge with a record of 10-6.
Next up, the Titans confront the Chamberlain Cubs (Chamberlain, SD) in a A Region 5 challenge, on Friday, February 3. Mt. Vernon/Plankinton will attempt to improve on its 8-6 season record. The Cubs come into the challenge with a 5-10 record after their 62-35 league loss to Platte/Geddes (Platte, SD).
