South Dakota High School Basketball - Leola/Frederick nips Warner
February 2, 2023: Leola, SD 57456 Fans at Thursday's league challenge between the Leola/Frederick Titans (Leola, SD) and the visiting Warner Monarchs (Warner, SD), saw Leola/Frederick's basketball squad hold off Warner by a tally of 43-39.
With the victory, Leola/Frederick improves its record to 13-1 on the campaign. The Titans travel to Jones County (Murdo, SD) to play the Coyotes in a non-league challenge on Saturday, February 4. The Coyotes come into the challenge with a record of 10-2. Jones County won 42-21 in their recent league challenge against New Underwood (New Underwood, SD)
Next up, the Monarchs play the Waverly/South Shore Coyotes (Waverly, SD) in a B Region 1 challenge, on Saturday, February 4. Warner will attempt to improve on its 12-4 season record. The Coyotes come into the challenge with a 1-13 record after their 56-17 non-league loss to Estelline/Hendricks (Estelline, SD).
