February 2, 2023: Vinton, IA 52349 The Oelwein Huskies basketball team (Oelwein, IA), was overwhelmed 83-35 in Thursday's non-league battle with the host Vinton-Shellsburg Vikings (Vinton, IA)
The Vikings now possess a 12-7 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Williamsburg for a WAMAC - West battle on Friday, February 3.
The Huskies (8-8) will now prepare for their battle against Sumner-Fredericksburg (Sumner, IA). The Cougars come into the North Iowa Cedar - East battle with a 12-4 record. In their last battle, Sumner-Fredericksburg was overwhelmed by Denver (Denver, IA), 55-41, in a league battle.
