Michigan High School Basketball - Alcona nips Rogers City
February 2, 2024: Rogers City, MI 49779 Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Alcona Tigers (Lincoln, MI) and the host Rogers City Hurons (Rogers City, MI), saw Alcona's basketball squad hold off Rogers City by a tally of 40-37.
With the victory, Alcona improves its record to 14-4 on the campaign. The Tigers host Oscoda (Oscoda, MI) to play the Owls in a North Star challenge on Tuesday, February 6. The Owls come into the challenge with a record of 9-4.
Next up, the Hurons play the Mio-Au Sable Thunderbolts (Mio, MI) in a North Star challenge, on Monday, February 5. Rogers City will attempt to improve on its 3-11 season record. The Thunderbolts come into the challenge with a 7-6 record after their 54-49 league win over Heston Academy (St. Helen, MI).
