The St. Joseph's Collegiate Institute Marauders (Buffalo, NY) basketball felled the visiting Amherst Central Tigers (Amherst, NY), 56-48 in Friday's non-league test.

The Marauders (9-7) will now prepare for their test against Cardinal O'Hara (Tonawanda, NY). The Hawks go into the Monsignor Martin test with a 7-10 record. In their last test, Cardinal O'Hara was beaten by Nichols (Buffalo, NY), 82-60, in a league test.

The Tigers now own a 1-4 record. They play next when they host Sweet Home for a Section 6 Erie County II test on Wednesday, February 7.
