Massachusetts High School Basketball - Archbishop Williams nips St. Mary's
February 2, 2024: Braintree, MA 02184 Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Archbishop Williams Bishops (Braintree, MA) and the visiting St. Mary's Spartans (Lynn, MA), saw Archbishop Williams's basketball squad hold off St. Mary's by a count of 65-58.
With the victory, Archbishop Williams upgrades its record to 2-7 on the campaign. The Bishops host Westwood (Westwood, MA) to play the Wolverines in a non-league challenge on Monday, February 5. The Wolverines come into the challenge with a record of 14-2. Westwood won 48-32 in their recent league challenge against Ashland (Ashland, MA)
Next up, the Spartans play the Newburyport Clippers (Newburyport, MA) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, February 9. St. Mary's will attempt to upgrade on its 8-6 season record. The Clippers come into the challenge with a 6-3 record after their 54-42 non-league loss to Manchester Essex (Manchester, MA).
