Illinois High School Basketball - Benet Academy can't hold off Marist
February 2, 2024: Chicago, IL 60655 The Marist RedHawks basketball team scored 65 points and held the visiting Benet Academy Redwings to 64 in the RedHawks league triumph on Friday.
The RedHawks now sport a 21-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to St. Patrick for a East Suburban Catholic contest on Saturday, February 3. Marist will battle a Shamrocks team coming off a 56-36 league win over Saint Viator (Arlington Heights, IL). The Shamrocks record now stands at 17-8.
The Redwings (20-4) will now prepare for their contest against Marian Catholic (Chicago Heights, IL). The Spartans enter the East Suburban Catholic contest with a 18-8 record. In their last contest, Marian Catholic nudged Nazareth Academy (LaGrange Park, IL), 63-51, in a league contest.
