Tennessee High School Basketball - Raleigh-Egypt holds off Brighton
February 2, 2024: Brighton, TN 38011 Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Raleigh-Egypt Pharaohs (Memphis, TN) and the host Brighton Cardinals (Brighton, TN), saw Raleigh-Egypt's basketball squad hold off Brighton by a tally of 46-45.
With the victory, Raleigh-Egypt improves its record to 16-6 on the campaign. The Pharaohs host Munford (Munford, TN) to confront the Cougars in a 3A District 15 challenge on Tuesday, February 6. The Cougars come into the challenge with a record of 17-2. Munford won 80-76 in their recent league challenge against Covington (Covington, TN)
Next up, the Cardinals confront the Millington Central Trojans (Millington, TN) in a 3A District 15 challenge, on Tuesday, February 6. Brighton will attempt to improve on its 6-17 season record. The Trojans come into the challenge with a 13-12 record after their 83-69 league win over Craigmont (Memphis, TN).
