Louisiana High School Basketball - Covenant Christian Academy tops Vermilion Catholic
February 2, 2024: Houma, LA 70364 Covenant Christian Academy Lions (Houma, LA) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting Vermilion Catholic Eagles (Abbeville, LA), 48-37 in a league bout.
With the victory, Covenant Christian Academy upgrades its record to 17-7 on the campaign. The Lions host Abramson (New Orleans, LA) to play the Commodores in a non-league bout on Monday, February 5. The Commodores come into the bout with a record of 6-15. Abramson lost 66-31 in their recent league bout against Warren Easton (New Orleans, LA)
Next up, the Eagles play the Jeanerette Tigers (Jeanerette, LA) in a 1A District 7 bout, on Tuesday, February 6. Vermilion Catholic will attempt to upgrade on its 11-6 season record. The Tigers come into the bout with a 8-13 record after their 65-37 league win over Hanson Memorial (Franklin, LA).
