In Friday's league match, the visiting Falls Lake Firebirds basketball team scored a decisive 78-42 triumph over the Raleigh Charter Phoenix.

In their next game, the Firebirds meet the NCSSM: Durham Unicorns (Durham, NC) in a 1A/2A Super Six match, on Tuesday, February 6. Falls Lake will attempt to better on its 10-15 season record. The Unicorns enter the match with a 8-9 record after their 62-56 league loss to Franklin Academy (Wake Forest, NC).
