West Virginia High School Basketball - Greater Beckley Christian topped by James Monroe
February 2, 2024: Lindside, WV 24951 The James Monroe Mavericks basketball team scored 45 points and restricted the visiting Greater Beckley Christian Crusaders to 31 in the Mavericks league victory on Friday.
The Mavericks now sport a 11-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Meadow Bridge for a Coalfield A contest on Tuesday, February 6. James Monroe will battle a Wildcats team coming off a 102-41 non-league loss to Summers County (Hinton, WV). The Wildcats record now stands at 3-10.
The Crusaders (10-5) will now prepare for their contest against Beth Haven Christian (Omar, WV). The Hornets come into the non-league contest with a 1-12 record. In their last contest, Beth Haven Christian was defeated by Ignite Athletics (Hurricane, WV), 54-43, in a non-league contest.
