South Dakota High School Basketball - Vermillion fells Groton
February 2, 2024: Groton, SD 57445 Vermillion Tanagers (Vermillion, SD) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Groton Tigers (Groton, SD), 60-51 in a non-league bout.
With the win, Vermillion upgrades its record to 10-4 on the season. The Tanagers travel to Dakota Valley (North Sioux City, SD) to clash with the Panthers in a A Region 4 bout on Tuesday, February 6. The Panthers go into the bout with a record of 11-2. Dakota Valley won 87-68 in their recent league bout against Elk Point-Jefferson (Elk Point, SD)
Next up, the Tigers clash with the Redfield Pheasants (Redfield, SD) in a A Region 1 bout, on Thursday, February 8. Groton will attempt to upgrade on its 10-4 season record.
