February 2, 2024: Lewisport, KY 42351 Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Meade County Green Waves (Brandenburg, KY) and the host Hancock County Hornets (Lewisport, KY), saw Meade County's basketball squad overcome Hancock County by a tally of 59-42.
With the victory, Meade County improves its record to 9-12 on the campaign. The Green Waves travel to Elizabethtown (Elizabethtown, KY) to confront the Panthers in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, February 6. The Panthers come into the challenge with a record of 15-6. Elizabethtown won 49-46 in their recent non-league challenge against Warren Central (Bowling Green, KY)
Next up, the Hornets confront the McLean County Cougars (Calhoun, KY) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, February 3. Hancock County will attempt to improve on its 8-11 season record. The Cougars come into the challenge with a 14-7 record after their 84-77 non-league loss to Hopkins County Central (Madisonville, KY).
