Louisiana High School Basketball - Northwest nudges Iota
February 2, 2024: Iota, LA 70543 Northwest Raiders (Opelousas, LA) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Iota Bulldogs (Iota, LA), 55-50 in a league bout.
With the win, Northwest upgrades its record to 17-4 on the season. The Raiders travel to Northside (Lafayette, LA) to clash with the Vikings in a non-league bout on Saturday, February 3. The Vikings go into the bout with a record of 16-12. Northside won 74-44 in their recent non-league bout against A.J. Ellender (Houma, LA)
Next up, the Bulldogs clash with the Pine Prairie Panthers (Pine Prairie, LA) in a 3A District 4 bout, on Monday, February 5. Iota will attempt to upgrade on its 18-5 season record. The Panthers go into the bout with a 0-19 record after their 47-46 non-league loss to Berchmans Academy (Grand Coteau, LA).
