February 2, 2024: St. Martinville, LA 70582 Fans at Friday's league challenge between the St. Martinville Tigers (St. Martinville, LA) and the visiting Kaplan Pirates (Kaplan, LA), saw St. Martinville's basketball squad wallop Kaplan by a count of 56-25.
With the victory, St. Martinville upgrades its record to 12-18 on the campaign. The Tigers travel to Abbeville (Abbeville, LA) to play the Wildcats in a 3A District 5 challenge on Tuesday, February 6. The Wildcats come into the challenge with a record of 6-18. Abbeville won 50-40 in their recent league challenge against Erath (Erath, LA)
Next up, the Pirates play the North Vermilion Patriots (Maurice, LA) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, February 6. Kaplan will attempt to upgrade on its 5-21 season record. The Patriots come into the challenge with a 11-9 record after their 53-50 league loss to Teurlings Catholic (Lafayette, LA).
