Texas High School Basketball - Olton overwhelms Lockney
February 2, 2024: Lockney, TX 79241 Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Olton Mustangs (Olton, TX) and the host Lockney Longhorns (Lockney, TX), saw Olton's basketball squad wallop Lockney by a tally of 63-37.
With the victory, Olton improves its record to 16-10 on the campaign. The Mustangs host Floydada (Floydada, TX) to play the Whirlwinds in a 2A Region I District 4 challenge on Tuesday, February 6. The Whirlwinds come into the challenge with a record of 22-7. Floydada won 63-54 in their recent league challenge against Ralls (Ralls, TX)
Next up, the Longhorns play the Hale Center Owls (Hale Center, TX) in a 2A Region I District 4 challenge, on Tuesday, February 6. Lockney will attempt to improve on its 7-15 season record. The Owls come into the challenge with a 20-8 record after their 61-57 league loss to New Deal (New Deal, TX).
