Connecticut High School Basketball - New London overwhelms Norwich Free Academy
February 2, 2024: New London, CT 06320 Fans at Friday's league challenge between the New London Whalers (New London, CT) and the visiting Norwich Free Academy Wildcats (Norwich, CT), saw New London's basketball squad wallop Norwich Free Academy by a tally of 92-48.
With the victory, New London improves its record to 13-3 on the campaign. The Whalers travel to Ledyard (Ledyard, CT) to play the Colonels in a Eastern Connecticut I challenge on Tuesday, February 6. The Colonels come into the challenge with a record of 3-10. Ledyard won 56-50 in their recent non-league challenge against Bacon Academy (Colchester, CT)
Next up, the Wildcats play the Woodstock Academy Centaurs (Woodstock, CT) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, February 6. Norwich Free Academy will attempt to improve on its 7-7 season record. The Centaurs come into the test with a 7-9 record after their 47-38 non-league loss to Somers (Somers, CT).
