Maryland High School Basketball - Seneca Valley nudges Northwest

In Friday's league outing, the Seneca Valley Screamin' Eagles (Germantown, MD) basketball squad edged the host Northwest Jaguars (Germantown, MD), by a margin of 56-54.

The Screamin' Eagles (6-11) will now prepare for their outing against Quince Orchard (Gaithersburg, MD). The Cougars go into the Montgomery 4A West outing with a 7-6 record. In their last outing, Quince Orchard held off Gaithersburg (Gaithersburg, MD), 41-38, in a league outing.

The Jaguars now own a 7-8 record. They play next when they travel to Clarksburg for a non-league outing on Monday, February 5. Northwest will clash with a Coyotes squad coming off a 67-51 non-league loss to Whitman (Bethesda, MD). The Coyotes record now stands at 3-15.
