Oregon High School Basketball - Crater nips Springfield
February 2, 2024: Springfield, OR 97477 Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Crater Comets (Central Point, OR) and the host Springfield Millers (Springfield, OR), saw Crater's basketball squad hold off Springfield by a tally of 58-56.
With the victory, Crater improves its record to 16-2 on the campaign. The Comets host Ashland (Ashland, OR) to play the Grizzlies in a 5A Midwestern challenge on Tuesday, February 6. The Grizzlies come into the challenge with a record of 2-14. Ashland lost 48-36 in their recent league challenge against Thurston (Springfield, OR)
Next up, the Millers play the North Eugene Highlanders (Eugene, OR) in a 5A Midwestern challenge, on Tuesday, February 6. Springfield will attempt to improve on its 12-7 season record. The Highlanders come into the challenge with a 11-8 record after their 58-44 league win over Eagle Point (Eagle Point, OR).
