Georgia High School Basketball - Deerfield-Windsor overwhelms Tiftarea Academy
February 2, 2024: Chula, GA 31733 Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Deerfield-Windsor Knights (Albany, GA) and the host Tiftarea Academy Panthers (Chula, GA), saw Deerfield-Windsor's basketball squad wallop Tiftarea Academy by a tally of 56-23.
With the victory, Deerfield-Windsor improves its record to 18-5 on the campaign. The Knights travel to Southland Academy (Americus, GA) to play the Raiders in a GIAA AAAA/AAA District 3 challenge on Tuesday, February 6. The Raiders come into the challenge with a record of 6-15. Southland Academy lost 45-28 in their recent league challenge against Brookwood (Thomasville, GA)
Next up, the Panthers play the Terrell Academy Eagles (Dawson, GA) in a GIAA AAAA/AAA District 3 challenge, on Tuesday, February 6. Tiftarea Academy will attempt to improve on its 8-13 season record. The Eagles come into the challenge with a 15-4 record after their 54-19 league win over Valwood (Valdosta, GA).
