The Grayson County Blue Devils basketball team (Independence, VA), dropped 60-48 in Friday's league battle with the visiting Galax Maroon Tide (Galax, VA)

The Maroon Tide now possess a 12-6 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to George Wythe for a Mountain Empire battle on Monday, February 5. Galax will confront a Maroons team coming off a 52-20 league win over Auburn (Riner, VA). The Maroons record now stands at 17-2.

The Blue Devils (8-11) will now prepare for their battle against Fort Chiswell (Max Meadows, VA). The Pioneers come into the Mountain Empire battle with a 17-4 record. In their last battle, Fort Chiswell beat Giles (Pearisburg, VA), 53-23, in a league battle.
