In Friday's league outing, the Rusk Eagles (Rusk, TX) basketball squad beat the host Hudson Hornets (Lufkin, TX), by a count of 52-39.

The Eagles (8-22) will now prepare for their outing against Bullard (Bullard, TX). The Panthers go into the 4A Region III District 18 outing with a 21-10 record. In their last outing, Bullard lost by Madisonville (Madisonville, TX), 58-42, in a league match.
