Virginia High School Basketball - Dan River crushes Nelson County

February 2, 2024: Ringgold, VA 24586

Dan River Wildcats (Ringgold, VA) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Nelson County Governors (Lovingston, VA), 35-7 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Dan River upgrades its record to 11-4 on the season. The Wildcats travel to Appomattox County (Appomattox, VA) to play the Raiders in a bout on Tuesday, February 13. The Raiders go into the bout with a record of 12-1.

Next up, the Governors play the Western Albemarle Warriors (Crozet, VA) in a non-league bout, on Monday, February 5. Nelson County will attempt to upgrade on its 4-9 season record. The Warriors go into the bout with a 12-1 record after their 32-26 non-league loss to Charlottesville (Charlottesville, VA).
