Fans at Friday's non-league challenge between the Shelby Golden Lions (Shelby, NC) and the visiting Highland Tech Rams (Gastonia, NC), saw Shelby's basketball squad wallop Highland Tech by a tally of 67-25.

With the victory, Shelby improves its record to 8-2 on the campaign. The Golden Lions host Bessemer City (Bessemer City, NC) to confront the Yellow Jackets in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, February 6. The Yellow Jackets come into the challenge with a record of 0-14. Bessemer City lost 42-18 in their recent non-league challenge against Cherryville (Cherryville, NC)

Next up, the Rams confront the Cherryville Ironmen (Cherryville, NC) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, February 9. Highland Tech will attempt to improve on its 2-17 season record.
