New York High School Basketball - Portledge nips La Salle Institute
February 2, 2025: Troy, NY 12180 In Sunday's non-league contest, the visiting Portledge Panthers basketball team scored a close 81-78 triumph over the La Salle Institute Cadets.
The Panthers (2-8) will now prepare for their contest against Martin Luther (Maspeth, NY). The Cougars go into the PSAL Area NYSAIS PSAA - Western contest with a 5-11 record. In their last contest, Martin Luther was tipped by Knox (St. James, NY), 99-64, in a league contest.
In their next game, the Cadets battle the Ichabod Crane Riders (Valatie, NY) in a Section 2 Colonial - Liberty contest, on Tuesday, February 4. La Salle Institute will attempt to better on its 13-4 season record. The Riders go into the contest with a 9-7 record after their 56-55 league win over Lansingburgh (Troy, NY).
