New York High School Basketball - Xaverian toppled by Christ the King
February 2, 2025: Middle Village, NY 11379 Christ the King Royals (Middle Village, NY) boosters left the game satisfied Sunday as they witnessed their basketball squad notch a victory over the visiting Xaverian Clippers (Brooklyn, NY), 62-53 in a non-league match.
With the victory, Christ the King upgrades its record to 8-7 on the year. The Royals host St. Peter's (Staten Island, NY) to face the Eagles in a non-league match on Tuesday, February 4. The Eagles enter the match with a record of 6-0.
The Clippers now sport a 2-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Bishop Loughlin for a non-league match on Friday, February 7. Xaverian will face a Lions squad coming off a 87-78 non-league win over Nazareth (Brooklyn, NY). The Lions record now stands at 3-6.
