Mississippi High School Basketball - Leake County triumphant over Ethel
February 2, 2026: Walnut Grove, MS 39189 The crowd at Monday's league challenge between the Leake County Gators (Walnut Grove, MS) and the visiting Ethel Tigers (Ethel, MS), observed Leake County's basketball team overwhelm Ethel by a margin of 75-27.
The Gators (15-5) will now prepare for their challenge against McAdams (McAdams, MS). The Bulldogs come into the 1A Region 5 challenge with a 8-13 record. In their last challenge, McAdams trounced Sebastopol (Sebastopol, MS), 67-31, in a league challenge.
In their next game, the Tigers battle the Nanih Waiya Warriors (Louisville, MS) in a 1A Region 5 challenge, on Tuesday, February 3. Ethel will attempt to better on its 6-15 season record. The Warriors come into the challenge with a 3-14 record after their 67-30 league loss to Leake County (Walnut Grove, MS).
