Phoenix Christian Cougars (Phoenix, AZ) backers went home thrilled Monday as they saw their basketball team tip the host Scottsdale Preparatory Academy Spartans (Scottsdale, AZ), 37-30 in a league contest.

The Cougars (14-9) will now prepare for their contest against Scottsdale Christian Academy (Phoenix, AZ). The Eagles go into the 2A Central contest with a 13-10 record. In their last contest, Scottsdale Christian Academy nipped Northwest Christian (Phoenix, AZ), 37-36, in a non-league contest.

Next, the Spartans face the Camp Verde Cowboys (Camp Verde, AZ) in a 2A Central outing, on Thursday, February 5. Scottsdale Preparatory Academy will attempt to upgrade on its 7-14 season record.
