Minnesota High School Basketball - Willmar crushes Big Lake

Willmar Cardinals (Willmar, MN) backers were in high spirits Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Big Lake Hornets (Big Lake, MN), 76-44 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Willmar upgrades its record to 10-15 on the season. The Cardinals host Sauk Rapids-Rice (Sauk Rapids, MN) to clash with the Storm in a AAA Section 8 bout on Friday, February 24. The Storm go into the bout with a record of 17-10. Sauk Rapids-Rice won 67-39 in their recent league bout against Rocori (Cold Spring, MN)

Next up, the Hornets clash with the St. Francis Fighting Saints (St. Francis, MN) in a AAA Section 5 bout, on Tuesday, February 21. Big Lake will attempt to upgrade on its 2-22 season record. The Fighting Saints go into the bout with a 7-17 record after their 65-29 league loss to Monticello (Monticello, MN).
