West Virginia High School Basketball - Charleston Catholic nips Poca
February 20, 2024: Charleston, WV 25301 Charleston Catholic Irish (Charleston, WV) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Poca The Dots (Poca, WV), 55-48 in a non-league bout.
With the win, Charleston Catholic upgrades its record to 18-3 on the season. The Irish travel to Fairmont Senior (Fairmont, WV) to play the Polar Bears in a non-league bout on Saturday, February 24. The Polar Bears go into the bout with a record of 20-1. Fairmont Senior won 68-49 in their recent league bout against Bridgeport (Bridgeport, WV)
Next up, the The Dots play the Wayne Pioneers (Wayne, WV) in a Cardinal bout, on Thursday, February 22. Poca will attempt to upgrade on its 11-11 season record. The Pioneers go into the bout with a 9-10 record after their 71-57 league win over Sissonville (Charleston, WV).
