Texas High School Soccer - University nudges Belton
February 20, 2024: Belton, TX 76513 University Trojans (Waco, TX) supporters were pleased Tuesday as they observed their soccer team hold off the host Belton Tigers (Belton, TX), 1-0 in a league challenge.
Next, the Trojans confront the Chaparral Bobcats (Killeen, TX) in a 5A Region 3 District 22 challenge, on Friday, February 23. University will attempt to move on its 11-3 season record. The Bobcats enter the challenge with a 6-7 record after their 3-2 league win over Ellison (Killeen, TX).
The Tigers now possess a 3-13 record. They take the field next when they travel to Waco for a 5A Region 3 District 22 challenge on Friday, February 23. Belton will confront a Lions team coming off a 5-1 league win over Lake Belton (Temple, TX). The Lions record now stands at 12-5.
