West Virginia High School Basketball - Summers County ripped by James Monroe
February 21, 2023: Lindside, WV 24951 The James Monroe Mavericks basketball team scored 69 points and held the visiting Summers County Bobcats to 45 in the Mavericks non-league triumph on Tuesday.
The Mavericks now sport a 19-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to River View for a Coalfield A contest on Friday, February 24. James Monroe will meet a Raiders team coming off a 70-60 non-league loss to Midland Trail (Hico, WV). The Raiders record now stands at 9-11.
The Bobcats (10-10) will now prepare for their contest against Montcalm (Montcalm, WV). The Generals enter the non-league contest with a 11-7 record. In their last contest, Montcalm was routed by Sherman (Seth, WV), 61-56, in a non-league contest.
