Texas High School Softball - Estacado nudges Stanton
February 21, 2023: Lubbock, TX 79403 Estacado Matadors (Lubbock, TX) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Stanton Buffaloes (Stanton, TX), 7-6 in a non-league challenge.
The Matadors now own a 7-0 record. They take the field next when they travel to Idalou for a non-league challenge on Thursday, February 23. Estacado will battle a Wildcats squad coming off a 6-5 non-league loss to Frenship (Wolfforth, TX). The Wildcats record now stands at 2-6.
With the loss, Stanton falls to 0-2 on the campaign. The Buffaloes travel to Brady (Brady, TX) to battle the Bulldogs in a non-league challenge on Friday, February 24. The Bulldogs enter the challenge with a record of 3-1. Brady won 17-1 in their recent non-league challenge against San Angelo Texas Leadership Charter Academy (San Angelo, TX)
