Kentucky High School Basketball - Green County triumphant over Cumberland County
February 21, 2025: Burkesville, KY 42717 The crowd at Friday's non-league challenge between the Green County Dragons (Greensburg, KY) and the host Cumberland County Panthers (Burkesville, KY), observed Green County's basketball team overwhelm Cumberland County by a score of 91-67.
The Dragons (21-3) will now prepare for their challenge against Hart County (Munfordville, KY). The Raiders come into the non-league challenge with a 10-14 record. In their last challenge, Hart County trounced Rockcastle County (Mt. Vernon, KY), 65-50, in a non-league challenge.
In their next game, the Panthers encounter the Russell County Lakers (Russell Springs, KY) in a District 16 challenge, on Tuesday, February 25. Cumberland County will attempt to improve on its 14-9 season record. The Lakers come into the challenge with a 16-10 record after their 70-69 non-league loss to Pulaski County (Somerset, KY).
