In Friday's non-league match, the visiting Patterson Tigers softball team scored a tight 8-7 victory over the Hughson Huskies.

The Tigers (1-1) will now prepare for their match against Merced (Merced, CA). The Bears go into the non-league match with a 2-1 record. In their last match, Merced tipped Sonora (Sonora, CA), 9-0, in a non-league match.

In their next game, the Huskies battle the Central Valley Hawks (Ceres, CA) in a non-league match, on Saturday, February 22. Hughson will attempt to better on its 1-1 season record. The Hawks go into the match with a 2-1 record after their 11-2 non-league loss to Los Banos (Los Banos, CA).
