The Emerson Mavericks softball squad (McKinney, TX), was routed 8-3 in Saturday's non-league contest with the visiting Lovejoy Leopards (Lucas, TX)

With the triumph, Lovejoy improves its record to 9-3 on the year. The Leopards travel to Mansfield Legacy (Mansfield, TX) to face the Broncos in a non-league contest on Thursday, February 26. The Broncos enter the contest with a record of 5-7.

The Mavericks now hold a 3-8 record. They take the field next when they travel to Hebron for a non-league bout on Saturday, February 21. Emerson will clash with a Hawks team coming off a 4-1 non-league win over Plano (Plano, TX). The Hawks record now stands at 3-2.
