Fans at Wednesday's non-league challenge between the Washington Patriots (Charles Town, WV) and the visiting Jefferson Cougars (Shenandoah Junction, WV), saw Washington's basketball squad hold off Jefferson by a count of 47-40.

With the victory, Washington upgrades its record to 11-11 on the campaign. The Patriots host Martinsburg (Martinsburg, WV) to play the Bulldogs in a non-league challenge on Wednesday, March 1.
