Alaska High School Basketball - Metlakatla routs Unalakleet

In Saturday's non-league contest, the host Metlakatla Chiefs basketball team scored a big 48-23 triumph over the Unalakleet Wolfpack.

The Chiefs (18-3) will now prepare for their contest against Mt. Edgecumbe (Sitka, AK). The Braves go into the non-league contest with a 11-7 record. In their last contest, Mt. Edgecumbe smashed Redington (Wasilla, AK), 63-14, in a league contest.

In their next game, the Wolfpack confront the Dillingham Wolverines (Dillingham, AK) in a 2A Northwest contest, on Friday, February 28. Unalakleet will attempt to better on its 17-3 season record. The Wolverines go into the contest with a 5-8 record after their 45-36 non-league loss to Newhalen (Newhalen, AK).
