In Friday's non-league contest, the host Metlakatla Chiefs basketball team scored a close 32-30 win over the Susitna Valley Rams.

The Chiefs (10-3) will now prepare for their contest against Cordova (Cordova, AK). The Wolverines come into the non-league contest with a 1-4 record. In their last match, Cordova was nudged by Lumen Christi (Anchorage, AK), 35-31, in a non-league match.
