New Mexico High School Basketball - Capitan succumbs to Lordsburg
February 23, 2023: Lordsburg, NM 88045 The Lordsburg Mavericks topped the visiting Capitan Tigers basketball team by a final score of 54-35 in Thursday's non-league game.
In their next game, the Mavericks face the Tularosa Wildcats (Tularosa, NM) in a 2A District 3 game, on Saturday, February 25. Lordsburg will attempt to move on its 16-9 season record. The Wildcats enter the game with a 16-9 record after their 74-32 league win over Cloudcroft (Cloudcroft, NM).
With the defeat, Capitan moves to 11-17 on the year.
