February 23, 2024: Guyton, GA 31312 The crowd at Friday's league test between the Evans Knights (Evans, GA) and the host South Effingham Mustangs (Guyton, GA), saw Evans's soccer squad knock off South Effingham by a count of 4-2.
The Knights now hold a 3-3 record. They play next when they travel to Westminster Schools of Augusta for a non-league test on Tuesday, February 27. Evans will meet a Wildcats squad coming off a 7-0 non-league win over Augusta Christian (Martinez, GA). The Wildcats record now stands at 1-1.
With the loss, South Effingham drops to 3-3 on the season. The Mustangs travel to Effingham County (Springfield, GA) to meet the Rebels in a 6A Region 2 test on Tuesday, February 27. The Rebels come into the test with a record of 1-5. Effingham County lost 1-0 in their recent league test against Lakeside (Evans, GA)
