February 23, 2024: Evans, GA 30809 The crowd at Friday's league test between the Lakeside Panthers (Evans, GA) and the visiting Effingham County Rebels (Springfield, GA), saw Lakeside's soccer squad get by Effingham County by a count of 1-0.
The Panthers now hold a 3-3 record. They play next when they host West Forsyth for a non-league test on Saturday, February 24. Lakeside will meet a Wolverines squad coming off a 1-1 non-league Chattahoochee (Alpharetta, GA). The Wolverines record now stands at 2-1.
With the loss, Effingham County drops to 0-6 on the season. The Rebels host South Effingham (Guyton, GA) to meet the Mustangs in a 6A Area 2 test on Tuesday, February 27. The Mustangs come into the test with a record of 6-0. South Effingham won 4-1 in their recent league test against Evans (Evans, GA)
