Spectators at Thursday's non-league battle between the Athens Academy Spartans (Athens, GA) and the host Alcovy Tigers (Covington, GA), saw Athens Academy's baseball squad knock off Alcovy by a count of 6-3.

Coming up next, the Spartans play the Putnam County War Eagles (Eatonton, GA) in a non-league battle, on Monday, February 28. Athens Academy will attempt to move on its 4-1 season record. The War Eagles enter the battle with a 5-0 record after their 5-3 non-league win over Social Circle (Social Circle, GA).

The Tigers now possess a 1-5 record. They take the field next when they travel to Mary Persons for a non-league battle on Friday, February 25. Alcovy will play a Bulldogs squad coming off a 3-1 non-league win over Columbus (Columbus, GA). The Bulldogs record now stands at 6-1.
