February 24, 2022: Mapleton, MN 56065

Maple River Eagles (Mapleton, MN) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Waterville-Elysian-Morristown Buccaneers (Waterville, MN), 50-10 in a league bout.

With the win, Maple River upgrades its record to 24-5 on the season. The Eagles travel to Hayfield (Hayfield, MN) to play the Vikings in a non-league bout on Saturday, February 26. The Vikings go into the bout with a record of 24-1. Hayfield won 74-59 in their recent league bout against Bethlehem Academy (Faribault, MN)

Next up, the Buccaneers play the Minnesota Valley Lutheran Chargers (New Ulm, MN) in a AA Section 2 bout, on Monday, February 28. Waterville-Elysian-Morristown will attempt to upgrade on its 7-14 season record.
