Fans at Friday's non-league challenge between the Hurricane Redskins (Hurricane, WV) and the visiting University Hawks (Morgantown, WV), saw Hurricane's basketball squad hold off University by a tally of 63-60.

With the victory, Hurricane improves its record to 11-11 on the campaign. The Redskins travel to Parkersburg South (Parkersburg, WV) to confront the Patriots in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, February 28. The Patriots come into the challenge with a record of 16-6. Parkersburg South lost 75-70 in their recent non-league challenge against George Washington (Charleston, WV)

Next up, the Hawks confront the Buckhannon-Upshur Buccaneers (Buckhannon, WV) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, February 28. University will attempt to improve on its 13-9 season record. The Buccaneers come into the challenge with a 6-16 record after their 64-52 non-league loss to Ritchie County (Ellenboro, WV).
