February 24, 2023: San Diego, CA 92111 The Kearny Komets volleyball team scored 2 points and limited the visiting Coronado Islanders to 0 in the Komets non-league victory on Friday.
The Komets now have a 1-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Canyon Crest Academy for a non-league game on Saturday, February 25. Kearny will confront a Ravens team coming off a 2-0 non-league win over La Jolla Country Day (La Jolla, CA). The Ravens record now stands at 5-1.
The Islanders (1-3) will now prepare for their game against Montgomery (San Diego, CA). The Aztecs enter the non-league game with a 2-0 record. In their last game, Montgomery gained a win over Mar Vista (Imperial Beach, CA), 3-0, in a non-league game.
